Pioneer Gardens Nursery, Company
Pioneer Gardens your first thought when you set out to create a new garden.
A family owned nursery turned to camellias and azaleas to provide a green oasis for summer and flowers throughout the rest of the year.
Azaleas commence blooming in February and continue spot flowering all year. Indica and kurume azaleas are best known, with many varieties continuously flowering 9 months of the year.
Kurumes with small leaves and flowers are marvellous hedging plants. All are renowned for group plantings. For late blooms satsuki azaleas bloom for six weeks in October/November and gumpo azaleas flower from October to week before Christmas. Both these varieties only grow to a half a meter high and extremely lush foliage.
